Students create a variety of videos like news stories, music videos, commercials, etc. in Digital Video Production. Each video incorporates a plethora of techniques in script writing, filming, and editing. Students use programs within the Adobe Creative Suite including Flash, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Story. Below are samples of student work created during the 2015-2016 school year.
Students used Adobe Photoshop and specifically the pen tool to create a car advertisement. The purpose of the assignment was to understand the impact of advertising while using various Photoshop skills.
Students used Adobe Illustrator to design a magazine cover using various techniques within the program.
Students used Adobe Illustrator to create a movie poster for a ficticious scary movie. They were to use tools which included the pen tool, image trace, etc.
Students used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create a gif based off of a real photograph of themselves.
Students incorporated typography into a graphic to represent the various states in US.
Students created Flash scenes that could be on the topic of their choice centered around certain guidelines. One project guideline was to create an Alphabet Book. Academy senior, Katie Angel, created her alphabet book themed around Harry Potter. Kudos Katie for your innovative work!
How Healthy is Your World?
Students created websites about an important teen health topic. Sites were created using a template in Adobe Dreamweaver while incorporating a CSS nav bar. Click on the image below to view the site. Kudos to Megan Thompson, academy 12th grader!
Social Studies Fair Project
In conjunction with US History Honors, students created projects for the 2016 Social Studies Fair. Students had the opportunity to create graphics related to this year's theme, "Exploration, encounter, and exchange in History". This student chose to explore the British Invasion of Rock n' Roll Music.
